Matt Owies is a dangerous small forward that has an innate ability to find the goals. The ex-basketballer is made his debut in 2020 and will look to build on this into 2021.
Matt grew up in Melbourne, playing his junior football for Camberwell before moving to APS School St. Kevins. His journey to the AFL was different to most due to pursuing a basketball career in America throughout his teenage years.
After spending 6 years in America from the age of 15 to 21 Matt returned to Australia where he was selected by the Blues as a category B Rookie ahead of the 2019 season. Consistent performances at FL level saw MAtt make his debut in round 16, 2020 against the Swans.
