Zak Jones was drafted to the Sydney Swans with the 15th pick in the 2013 National Draft, after winning the most valuable player award for Vic Country in the Under 18 National Championships.
Jones made his debut in his first season at the club, against Richmond at the MCG in Round 14 of 2014. He played a handful of games in his first two years before a breakout year in 2016 which saw him cement his place in the Swans side.
A physical player with speed to run off half back, Jones is a hard player to match up on. After 6 years and 90 games, Jones requested a trade back to Victoria at the end of the 2019 season, where he landed at St Kilda.
