After a standout Under 18 season which saw him named Most Valuable Player for Vic Country, Zak Jones was selected by the Sydney Swans with the 15th pick in the 2013 National Draft.
Brother of Melbourne player Nathan, Zak possesses many of the same characteristics on-field, where his unique combination of physicality and speed add grunt to the midfield where he spends most of his time.
Despite debuting in his first year of AFL, Jones struggled to cement a spot in the Swans line-up over his first two seasons at the club, but found his place in 2016 where he went on to play in a losing Grand Final.
After 6 seasons at the Swans, Jones made the move to St Kilda ahead of the 2020 season. He played his 100th game the Round 12 win over Essendon, and has quickly become a fan favourite with his passion and intensity.
