Zach was a member of the Academy from the age of 13. He has progressed his craft as a forward from his junior days at Albury to his past four seasons in the NEAFL before making his AFL debut in round 22, 2019.

The athletic tall forward grew in confidence throughout his first year in the NEAFL kicking 28 goals from 17 games in the 2017 season. Sproule once again took strides forward in season 2018 highlighting his arial marking and running capacity in numerous games.
