Will Setterfield is a tall midfielder that is strong on the inside and outside of the contest and has the ability to hit the scoreboard consistently.
Will Setterfield grew up in Albury NSW before moving to Melbourne to finish his schooling at Caulfield Grammar. The athletic midfielder played a vital role in the Sandringham Dragons 2016 TAC Cup premiership.
Setterfield was selected by the GWS Giants with Pick 5 in the 2017 NAB AFL Draft as a Giants Academy player. He played 2 games however suffered an ACL injury in 2018 cutting his second season in the AFL short. Ahead of 2019, Setterfield was traded to Carlton.
A tall inside midfielder, Setterfield played 55 games at Carlton between 2019 and 2022. Seeking more opportunities, he was traded to Essendon ahead of 2023 season where he has made an immediate impact and become a vital player in the midfield.
