Originating from Ireland, Ross McQuillan is a Category B rookie who grew up playing Gaelic Football. He has since become another international code hopper as he tackles AFL head on.
Ross hails from County Armagh where he went to school and lived with his parents and sister.
The athletic Northern Irishman turned heads at the 2019 AFL Europe Combine with his elite pace, clocking the fastest time (2.77secs) in the 20m sprint. Standing 188cm tall, the international recruit – who was a rising star of Gaelic football and also represented Northern Ireland in basketball could prove to be a particularly versatile player as he continues to develop his Australian football skills in 2020 and beyond.
