One of the most decorated players of his generation, Nat is also one of footy's most dominant stars. Unstoppable in full flight, he is a unique character and respected leader, driven to deliver Fremantle the game's ultimate success.

Bio

A proud born and bred Western Australian, Nat grew up in the heart of the wheatbelt in Lake Grace, 345km south east of Perth. He spent much of his childhood kicking footballs around the truck yards of his parents’ business Fyfe Transport.

Fyfe later moved to Perth and boarded at Aquinas College before making his WAFL Colts debut in 2009 with Claremont. That impressive season culminated with a six-goal Grand Final haul and led to the Fremantle Dockers selecting him with the 20th pick in the 2009 AFL Draft.

Fyfe made his AFL debut in round 5, 2010 against Richmond, and his freakish talent saw him immediately catch the eye of AFL fans, being nominated for both Mark and Goal of the Week in his first two senior games.

His second AFL season was even better, finishing runner-up in the club Best & Fairest and polling an equal team-high 13 Brownlow votes.

A shoulder injury saw him miss much of 2012, but Fyfe returned in fine style in 2013 as a key player in the Dockers’ run to their first-ever Grand Final. That historic campaign unfortunately fell just 15 points short of ultimate glory but Fyfe’s dominant season saw him win his first Doig Medal as the club’s Best & Fairest.

Fyfe soared to even greater heights in 2014, establishing himself as one of the most damaging players in the competition and collecting his first AFLPA MVP Award, his first All-Australian selection and his second Doig Medal.

Incredibly, his growth curve continued to trend upward as he swept all before him in 2015, becoming the first Fremantle Docker to win the Brownlow Medal, while also collecting a second AFL MVP and All-Australian blazer.

A serious leg injury ruined much of his 2016 campaign, before he returned to take on the role as club Captain in 2017.

A hamstring injury hobbled him 2018, but Fyfe once again returned better than ever to dominate the competition in 2019 and claim his second Brownlow Medal, his third club Best & Fairest and was named All-Australian Captain for the first time.

A modern day great, he has achieved just about everything there is to do in footy. The game’s ultimate prize – premiership success – is all that remains unchecked in a Hall of Fame quality resume.

And Fyfe is as determined as ever to win that too.

Despite all his individual accolades, Fyfe has remained an affable laid-back, down-to-earth character.

He has a keen interest in business and combines his passion for surfing and business with partnerships in Creatures of Leisure and Otis Eyewear. Nat is also completing an MBA at the University of Western Australia as he continues to expand his horizons beyond football.

He is partners with a wide range of businesses and brands including Seven West Media, Fox Sports, Adidas, Crown Resorts and Telstra.

He also dedicates time through his ambassador role for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, a cause close to his heart having grown up in regional Western Australia.

I pride myself in my pre game preparation. I also believe it is important to use these practices in an everyday setting in order to achieve your best.
