Bio

Hinge grew up on his 100 acre family farm in Mundulla as the fifth of six children.

After playing junior football for the Mundulla Tigers, Hinge moved to Adelaide in Year 10, becoming a boarder at Sacred Heart College to progress his football, winning two state knockout competitions with his school.

Recruited into Glenelg’s Under 18 team, Hinge played in the Tigers’ unforgettable after-the-siren premiership win in 2016 and was subsequently selected by the Brisbane Lions in the 2017 AFL Rookie Draft.

At 190cm Hinge is a competitive and versatile left-footed utility capable of playing various roles around the ground and is strong one-on-one.

Injuries in his first two years at the Lions sidelined Hinge while other youngsters around him debuted. But his persistence and determination paid off as he made his debut for Brisbane in Round 9 of 2019.

Two AFL games in 2019 were followed by another one in 2020, before Hinge elected to return home to South Australia and was delighted to join the team he followed as a youngster – the Adelaide Crows.

He made his Adelaide debut in the opening round of 2021 and is now set on forging a long and successful career in the City of Churches.
