The multi-talented author and netballer, Maddy commenced her professional netball career at just at 16 years of age and has continued to rise to become a standout player in the Suncorp Super Netball League.
Maddy was born and raised in Adelaide where she spent most of her childhood playing in the backyard with her brothers, Max and Doug. At the age of 16, she joined the Adelaide Thunderbirds in the ANZ Championship as the youngest player to be contracted to a professional team. During her time at the Thunderbirds Maddy captained the Australian 21&Under Team to a silver medal at the World Youth Netball Cup. It was after this experience that Maddy developed her passion for writing kids books and started writing what would soon become Grace on the Court.
At the end of 2016 Maddy decided to make the move to Sydney to join the NSW Swifts and she hasn’t looked back since. Maddy is currently the captain of the club in the Suncorp Super Netball competition. Unfortunately in 2019 her season with the Swifts on court came to an end after rupturing her ACL and undergoing a knee reconstruction – missing out on playing in their Premiership victory in the 2019 Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final.
Following her passion for writing and study, Maddy is currently completing a Master of Creative Writing, a Bachelor of Management (Marketing) and a Diploma of Management.
