Henderson entered the AFL system in 2008 after being selected by the Brisbane Lions with the 8th pick in the 2007 NAB AFL Draft.
Despite making an impact in his first two seasons, Lachie was traded to Carlton in 2009 as a key position prospect, however quickly showed his diversity as one of the leagues best swingmen.
After six seasons with the Blues which included placing Third in the Best and Fairest and winning the Most Improved award in 2013, Henderson decided to return home to Geelong where he would play as a permanent key position defender.
Henderson has now played 165 games of senior AFL football and enters 11th season hoping to see more finals success for the cats.
Articulate and intelligent and with strong business acumen, Lachie has an exciting future both on and off the football field.
