After taking the SANFL competition by storm, Jed McEntee found his way onto Port Adelaide's list through the 2021 mid-season draft.
Playing junior football for the Mitcham Hawks in South Australia, then graduating to Sturt in the SANFL, McEntee represented the state in the 2019 National Championships.
Overlooked in the draft, the hard bodied midfielder returned to Sturt’s SANFL League side in 2020, cementing himself as a strong and consistent player across the competition.
McEntee started the 2021 SANFL season where he left off, with standout performances catching the eye of Port Adelaide.
He was picked up in the mid-season draft as a midfielder who can drift forward, and is capable of slotting into an AFL line-up.
