Possessing a high football IQ both on and off the field, James Jordon will be a valuable asset for the Melbourne Football Club over the years to come.
James Jordon hails from Yarrawonga in country Victoria where he grew up with his parents.
He moved down to Melbourne when he was 15 to attend Caulfield Grammar where he was a boarder and completed his VCE.
Jordon’s elite skills and decision making with ball in hand allowed him to stand out for both the Oakleigh Chargers and Caulfield Grammar throughout season 2018. He became a draft bolter which saw him taken with the Demons second selection, pick 33 overall, in the 2018 draft.
Since arriving at the Dees, Jordon has spent time in defence, but has the potential to be a hard-working midfielder, and even push higher up the field.
Jordon made his debut in Round 1, 2021 and played 25 games throughout the year in a range of positions. Such is his versatility, Jordon was an effective medical sub player who was able to come on at any stage of the game and impact, regardless of where he played.
After an astounding 2021 season where he did not miss a game, Jordon became a Premiership Player at just 20 years old.
