Harry Edwards was drafted to the West Coast Eagles with their first pick in the 2018 NAB Rookie Draft. Edwards missed the majority of his draft year through injury, but had shown enough as an Under 17 to put his name on the recruiters list.
Edwards spent most of his junior career as a midfielder, but grew to 197cm ahead of the draft and moved into the forward line. Although he had a delayed start to his time at West Coast due to an ankle injury, he has continued to develop and has impressed as a key position defender in the Eagles WAFL side. He has displayed his ability to shut down older and stronger forwards, and while still only young, has shown his potential to be an important part of the Eagles future plans.
Edwards made his debut in Round 9 of the 2020 season.
