Hailing from Canberra, Hannah Dunn spent the best part of a decade playing football all around Australia. She has joined Port Adelaide's AFLW side ahead of their inaugural season.
In 2010, as a 19 year old, Hannah Dunn joined her first football team, the Queanbeyan Tigers in the AFL Canberra competition.
For 10 seasons Dunn represented the Tigers, the last 9 earning her selection in the League Team of the Year.
The first woman at the club to play 100 games, Dunn was the club captain from 2013.
As the AFLW was founded, then grew, Dunn was determined to get her name on a list and in 2019 moved to South Australia to play for Norwood in the SANFL.
This move proved pivotal, with Dunn having a stand-out season and hearing her name called out by the Suns on draft day.
In their inaugural year Dunn was a key figure in the midfield, offering leadership and consistency amongst a new side.
In 2021 she was co-captain of the club, and sole captain in 2022.
After three years at the Suns, Dunn made the move back to South Australia to play with Port Adelaide ahead of their first AFLW season at the back end of 2022.
The thing that I love most about footy, is the relationships you form with your teammates, coaches, volunteers and club. The club becomes your home away from home and the people inside it become your family.
