Daniel is a fast bowler from Melbourne that moved to South Australia to become a professional.
Daniel was born and grew up in Melbourne playing grade cricket for Melbourne Cricket Club.
South Australia offered Daniel a rookie contract ahead of the 2012/13 season which led to him moving from Melbourne to take up this opportunity. He made his First Class and List A debut in October 2012 and was picked for the Melbourne Stars ahead of the 2013/14 BBL season. The 2015/16 season was Daniel’s breakout season, he took 3 wickets in the BBL semi-final and then picked up a 6 wicket haul in the Sheffield Shield final, he finished the season with 44 wickets. His form led him to being picked for Australia A in 2016 where he took 4/26 against India A and his strong form led him getting picked in the One Day squad where he made his ODI debut against Ireland in September 2016. In 2018 Daniel was picked as Gloucestershire’s overseas player for the County season.
Daniel is about to finish a degree in business and then will continue on in further study. He enjoys also playing golf and darts
