Daniel Robinson has proven to be a very valuable signing since his drafting during the 2013 AFL Rookie Draft. Since joining the Swans, Robinson has proven himself to be a highly effective midfielder who has displayed great composure, execution, and awareness.
At the beginning of his professional campaign, Robinson showed great ability and potential in the Swans NEAFL side. The graduate of the Sydney Swans Youth Academy has shown great speed and dynamism during his time in the reserves and rightfully earned himself a senior brith at the beginning of the 2016 season. Robinson played 7 consecutive games at the beginning of the season however left the senior side due to a shoulder injury occurring. He missed the majority of the season after undergoing a shoulder-reconstruction however did return to the NEAFL side late in the season, where he helped aid the side’s finals campaign.
Robinson was unlucky in his 2017 campaign as in-team competition kept him to only 5 senior appearances for the club. A highly-talented midfielder and hard-worker, Robinson will look to break into a consistent showing in the Sydney Swans’ senior side in the 2018 season.
