Daniel Howe was drafted by the Hawthorn Football Club with the 31st selection in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft. The big bodied utility impressed in his first year at the Hawks earning a debut in round 9, 2015 against Gold Coast.
The following year Howe went on to play 16 games across half back for the Hawks including a Qualifying Final. The opportunity to play further up the ground later in the year positioned Howe to play as a predominate midfielder the following season.
In a period that saw Hawthorn evolve its personal through the midfield Howe remained a vital cog, playing 35 games across the 2017 & 2018 seasons. I slight hip injury has delayed Howe’s start to the 2019 season but hopefully Howe can return to his best early in the year.
