Conor McKenna was drafted by the Essendon Football Club with the 62nd selection in the 2014 AFL Rookie draft.
McKenna is originally from Northern Ireland where he played Gaelic Football for Tyrone County. His elite speed and line breaking ability is what stood out to the Bombers recruiters and has transferred to the AFL field.
McKenna made his debut in round 22, 2015 against Richmond and has gone on to play 52 games for the Bombers. The 23 year old enters the 2019 season fit and looking forward to rising the exciting bombers back to the finals.
