Cale Hooker is a key position utility that was drafted to the Essendon Football Club with pick 54 in the 2007 AFL Draft.
Hooker made his debut in round 21, 2008 and since then has gone on to play 153 reliable games for the Bombers.

Always playing the team role, Hooker went under the radar as a lock down tall in defence until a break out year in 2014. Hooker was selected in the All-Australian team and placed second in the Essendon Best and Fairest.

The 2015 season saw Hooker be elevated into Essendon’s leadership group and make a move to the forward line where he would boot 21 goals for the year and add another string to his bow.

Unfortunately a few soft tissue injuries have interrupted Hooker’s 12th pre-season but once he returns will be hoping to see the exciting Bombers rise back up the ladder into finals contention.
