A big bodied defender, Brayden Maynard was picked up by Collingwood 2014 National Draft after a dominant year for Sandringham in the Under 18 competition.
Maynard made his debut in Round 15, 2015 and has been a mainstay ever since, bringing his contested work and precision kicking to the Magpies backline.
Over his time at the club Maynard has only missed a handful of games, and early in 2020 celebrated his 100th game with a win. Maynard has been part of the Magpies Emerging Leaders group and played a key role in Collingood’s finals campaigns, including the 2018 season which ended with a loss in the Grand Final.
Outside of football Maynard has spent time as an assistant coach at a Melbourne College level football, and has a Labrador named Simon.
