Bio

Scott began his career with Hawthorn as a solid run-with defender, where he played 22 games before being traded to the Brisbane Lions at the end of the 1997 season. This proved to be a turning point in Scott’s career, reuniting him with twin brother Chris. The two were a constant thorn in the side of opponents, with both becoming vital cogs in Brisbane’s ever reliable defence. Brisbane went on to forge one of the most dominant teams in AFL history, winning three straight premierships between 2001 and 2003. Scott collected two premiership medallions before missing the last through injury.

Retiring from AFL ranks in 2006 after 168 games, Scott transitioned seamlessly into a development role at Collingwood. His coaching talents were quickly identified and he rose through the ranks at the Magpies to assistant coach and opponent analyst and then into the role of midfield coach. In 2010, Brad was appointed as the North Melbourne senior coach and coached the side until 2019. Brad currently ranks 3rd for most AFL/VFL games coached and is the only one to do it solely at the one club.
