Toogood
An AFLW Premiership Player in her first year with the Western Bulldogs, Bonnie Toogood is now a key player at Essendon ahead of their first AFLW season.

Bio

After playing football for Mornington in the South East Football and Netball League, Toogood was drafted to the Western Bulldogs with Pick 11 in the 2017 AFLW Rookie Draft.

At 178cm, Toogood plays as a utility for the Bulldogs, springing onto the scene with a debut in Round 1 of the 2018 season.

Picking up a Rising Star Nomination, Toogood’s 2018 season was topped off with a Premiership Medal as the Dogs defeated Brisbane Lions at Ikon Park.

Since her debut season, Toogood has been a mainstay in the Bulldogs line-up. However in 2022 when the club she supported as a child, Essendon, joined the AFLW competition, the chance to play for her childhood team was too good to refuse and she signed on to wear the red and black.

Away from football, Toogood has an interest in media, specifically football media where she can be heard on Kayo VFL broadcasts and the AFLW’s weekly panel show.
