Superstar Supercars driver Scott McLaughlin announces new management by TLA Worldwide

2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Champion Scott McLaughlin has today announced his partnership with leading talent management agency TLA Worldwide.

TLA Worldwide will manage the commercial interests of McLaughlin throughout the 2019 season, as well as McLaughlin’s own PR and communications.

McLaughlin joins TLA off the back of his most successful campaign of the Supercars Championship in 2018, claiming nine race wins and 13 pole positions to seal his maiden Supercars crown.

The championship-winning momentum has continued into the 2019 season with the New Zealand born driver winning five out of the six races so far this year.

The two-time Barry Sheene Medallist joins Supercars legend Mark Skaife as part of TLA’s talent list, which has also previously worked with Supercars commentator and Hall of Famer Neil Crompton.

TLA will work alongside McLaughlin’s Supercars team the Shell V-Power Racing Team (formally known as DJR Team Penske) as part of the arrangement, which sees McLaughlin as TLA’s only current Supercars driver for the foreseeable future as part of the agency’s commitment to him.

“It’s a pleasure to join the team at TLA,” McLaughlin said.

“To be among a group of Australia’s most successful sportsmen and women was a huge drawcard and is also something I view as a major personal achievement for me.

“I’m very excited for the next step in my career as a TLA athlete.”

TLA’s current talent list includes some of the highest profiles in Australian sport including Australian ODI cricket captain Aaron Finch, Adelaide Crows AFLW captain Erin Phillips, Olympic gold medallists Mack Horton, Emma McKeon and the Campbell sisters as well as Australian Diamonds Captain Caitlin Bassett and Collingwood Football Club coach Nathan Buckley.

“It’s wonderful to have Scotty join TLA in what is an exciting era for the sport,” said Tony Box, Head of Talent at TLA.

“Our team is looking forward to the challenge of working with a key driver in the category once again. We have a heap of respect for what Scotty and his team have been able to achieve and look forward to working with existing stakeholders and of course new stakeholders that we can introduce to the sport through an association with Scotty.”

McLaughlin’s focus now turns to the third round of the 2019 Supercars Championship which descends on Tasmania this weekend for the Tyrepower Tasmania SuperSprint.

Across five offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and London, TLA’s Talent management team is one of the world’s leading athlete and personality management groups.
