Across our PR, Events and Creative, Content & Digital teams, TLA was proud to have worked with Cricket Australia, the Local Organising Committee and the various tourism bodies to execute the campaign that ultimately attracted a crowd of 86,174 at the final between Australia and India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on the International Women’s Day (8 March) – a record attendance for a women’s sporting event in Australia and the second-highest attendance at a women’s sporting fixture anywhere in the world, ever.
TLA were involved across many projects throughout the build-up including the venue and fixture announcements, ticket sales launch, milestone date PR activities, squad announcements, the trophy tour, a book launch, live sites across three states, content for the Australian team and the event as well as the Final Fanzone which welcomed thousands of patrons across the weekend and before the big match.
A dedicated TLA UK website will be launching next year.
