Coached by fellow TLA talent member Adam Simpson, Shuey proved the difference in the match, amassing 34 disposals, a goal and eight tackles.
TLA athlete Travis Varcoe slotted the first goal of the game, followed by four other Magpie goal kickers as Collingwood got off to a flyer.
The Eagles fought back from a 29-point deficit midway through the first quarter, as a tight tussell ensued.
“They look like a beaten team, the Eagles”, noted former premiership coach Paul Roos during his call of the game on Triple M radio.
The game culminated in the last quarter with West Coast missing multiple chances to take the lead from seemingly easy chances. It took an incredible series of plays from Jeremy McGovern, Nathan Vardy and Liam Ryan to find Dom Sheed in the forward pocket. The Eagles hit the front in the dying moments, thanks to Dom Sheed’s match-winning goal from the boundary.
Congratulations to all TLA talent who were a part of the Grand Final, including Eagles’ Will Schofield, Jack Redden, Tom Barrass, as well as Collingwood’s Brayden Sier, Mason Cox and coach Nathan Buckley.
