TLA were involved across many projects throughout the build-up including the venue and fixture announcements, ticket sales launch, milestone date PR activities, squad announcements, the trophy tour, a book launch, live sites across three states, content for the Australian team and the event as well as the Final Fanzone which welcomed thousands of patrons across the weekend and before the big match.
Months of planning came to life in Yarra Park of the MCG with TLA Events on behalf of Visit Victoria delivered the Women’s T20 World Cup Final Fanzone that featured:
• Melbourne Food Village featuring local and regional produce and marquee facade artwork developed by our very own Tys!
• Melbourne Bar and Melbourne Coffee Tram with St Ali
• Main Stage featuring the finalist team appearances on Saturday and an array of musical entertainment, roving multicultural performances, artists, acoustic performers and DJ’s across the two days
• Custom cricket skills activations with artwork developed by local female artists
• Cricket Victoria Clinics
• Partner Activations
• Selfie Balls
• Giant 10m Inflatable
In addition to the above, the team also managed a 7-day activation held at Southern Cross Station to assist with awareness of the event and ticket sales as well as the installation of a Selfie Ball at Queensbridge Square.
The TLA Events & PR also supported Cricket Australia in delivering the World Cup Celebration Event on Monday at Federation Square, less than 18 hours after the Australian Women’s Cricket Team lifted the T20 World Cup trophy.
Fed Square was awash with green and gold to help continue the party and the event saw the full squad engage with fans for photos and autographs, complete final media duties and bring the curtain down on a remarkable tournament.
