Located on the north-western side of the iconic hill at Adelaide Oval, children will be able to play on the two-storey adventure set during each Strikers game, featuring activities such as a jumbo spiral slide, catching challenge, internal climbing platform and more.
The Strikers are the first club to construct an operating playground of any sort in an Australian stadium during a live sporting event.
Adelaide Strikers General Manager Steven Baldas said: “We are thrilled to be the innovators of Adventure Hill which will be an extra delight for kids and families coming along to see their Strikers at Adelaide Oval.
“We are committed to bringing new and exciting ideas to the Strikers and our passionate fans, and will continue to make our games accessible and enjoyable for all families.”
Strikers bowler and TLA cricketer Peter Siddle said: “I think it’s (Adventure Hill) great, it’s probably not made for adults but I can see the kids having a ball out here.
“I think it’s a great initiative, the Big Bash is all about the families and getting the kids along and another addition to not just the cricket, but to enjoy in the ground.”
Adventure Hill will be in use for the first time this season on Monday night when the Strikers play the Perth Scorchers.
