The aim was to connect AFL House news, content and training material with NAB League Boys and Girls in a manner that was both engaging and interesting.
Newsletters were delivered directly into NAB League playing group’s listed email addresses, training content was loaded onto NAB League social and of course, the NAB League App. AFL Hosted webinars were on AFL Webex channels, with our key talent dialling in to share their stories and motivation.
The outcome was fantastic, with families staying highly engaged across the rollout of the program, and 93% of 406 post-implementation respondents found the NAB-led information useful.
AFL Talent was utilised to engage and gain interest from the NAB League players & their families to connect with the NAB League online. AFL talent then used their own social media channels to promote their involvement by bringing to life the online NAB League training programs.
The Training Content teaser videos reached 272,489 unique impressions before the onset of COVID-19. With the season officially cancelled in mid-August, a genuine interest in the Nab League has persisted in preperation for 2021.
