Warren Tredrea launches Tredders’ Footy Clinics
Nine News Sports presenter, AFL Hall of Fame inductee and former Power captain Warren Tredrea tonight launched TREDDERS’ FOOTY CLINICS to encourage kids to get active and develop their
footy skills during the school holidays. “I’ve grabbed some of my best footy mates and we’re going to spend the day passing on our knowledge to 250 kids,” said Tredrea. “Whether they’re looking at playing AFL or just want to get out and kick the ball, I’ve designed a clinic that any child of any skill level will be able to enjoy.” The first clinic will be held in the school holidays on Thursday, July 14, between 4.00pm and 8.00pm at Thebarton Oval (ALDI Arena) in Torrensville.
Tredders will be joined by some of South Australia’s best past and present AFL players including:
Tony Modra, Gavin Wanganeen, Kane Cornes, Travis Boak, Daniel Talia, Alipate Carlile, Brodie Smith, Brad Ebert, Riley Knight, Jared Polec and many more.
In addition to rubbing shoulders with South Australia’s elite footballers, every child who attends will receive dinner, a certificate and a goodie bag. Parents and families are welcome to watch from the sidelines and attend the signing session after the clinic. Footy fans with kids aged 5-12 are encouraged to register now for the free footy clinic, with spaces limited to the first 250 kids only.
