Will Kelly was drafted under the father-son rule to the Collingwood Magpies in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft. Kelly arrives at Collingwood as an athletic tall-defender who has the ability to play one-on-one and negate his opponent. Kelly grew in confidence playing for Vic Metro in the Under 18 Championships where he displayed his intercept marking ability across half back. For a large athlete, his hand and foot skills are exceptional.
Kelly also has the ability to play as a key Forward where he played majority of the year for Scotch College in the APS. Will, son of premiership father, Craig, will look to continue the family legacy at Collingwood yet create his own luck and destiny. Will also enters the AFL system alongside brother Jake, who currently plays with the Adelaide Crows.
