The Tasmanian was pick 8 in the 2007 NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft and now holds the mantle as the Bombers’ leading ruckman. He made his debut against Hawthorn in round 11, 2008. Turning 25 in 2014 Bellchambers is reaching the window where ruckman are traditionally at the peak of their powers, which is exciting for Essendon fans. Bellchambers showed his versatility in 2013 being Essendon’s second leading goal kicker with 28 goals. During the 2015 season he committed to the club for a further 2 years which will see him wearing the Bombers colours until the end of the 2017 season at least.
