Susan Pettitt (nee Pratley) is one of the most experienced and accurate shooters in Australian netball. Originally from Bega (NSW) Pettitt quickly progressed through NSW junior ranks, to the AIS and then Australian selection in 2006.

Pratley shone in the 2006 Commonwealth Games Grand Final, shooting a perfect 26 goals from 26 attempts. Her international resume consists of over 50 Test appearances and includes gold at the 2007 World Championships and two silver medal performances at the Commonwealth Gamesin 2006 and 2010. Furthermore, Susan has become a key identity in the emergence of Australia’s Fast5 team in 2009. After two years onthe side, Susan emerged as a key leader in the team and was soon to become co-captain in 2011-2013. In 2016, Susan was named in the Constellation Cup squad for the Diamonds.

At the nationallevel, Susan has experienced great success. In 2008, Pettitt was a part of the inaugural ANZ Championship with the NSW Swifts. Susan continued her career with the swifts up until 2013 and was awarded their Player of the Year in 2012 whilst being nominated for the ANZ Championship MVP. Her leadership and consistent top 5 shooting ranking soon lead to the Giants Netball chasing hard and securing her services for 2017 where they finished second in the Inaugural Suncorp Super Netball season.

Susan was named in the Australian Diamonds squad once again in 2017 ahead of the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast,

With a strong connection to country NSW/ACT, Susan has developed her own business, SP Netball. SP Netball introduces and develops young players across the state. This business is growing every year and is one the most professionally run and highest attended sports programs in the country.
