Shaun McKernan was selected with pick 28 in the 2008 NAB AFL Draft. An All-Australian after dominating for the victorious Vic Metro side in the NAB AFL Under 18 Championships, McKernan made his AFL debut 12 months later for the Crows. Hailing from renowned football school Essendon Keilor College, Shaun is the brother of two-time Kangaroos premiership player, Corey. After 34 games for the Crows, McKernan moved back to native Victoria and the Essendon Football Club via the Rookie Draft, where he played nine games late in the season in the ruck and up forward to finishan impressive tenth in the Club’s Best and Fairest award. McKernan played a further 6 games in 2016. The 26 year-old is at the right age to have an influential 2017 with the Bombers.
