Flinders Island will never have a side in an Australian domestic competition, but at least it will have a representative in the Tasmanian squad.
Lees impressed many officials at Cricket Tasmania with dominant bowling displays in the Imparja Cup (National Indigenous Championships) where he received a ‘Black Cap’ for being in the team of the tournament and selection in the National Indigenous Squad.
He made his first class against West Indies in 2015. In 2016 he was a part of the Cricket Australia XI that played in the Matador cup. He also played in a first class game against Pakistan later in the year claiming the prize wickets of Younis Khan and Misbah Ul-Haq.
