Marcus Adams

Perth, Western Australia

West Perth / Western Bulldogs / Brisbane

Marcus is a big-bodied key defender, with good game sense and an aggressive streak. He was recruited from West Perth in 2015 where he was pivotal in the clubs run to the Grand Final, providing a reliable and agile option in defence and also up forward.

In the 2015 NAB AFL Draft Marcus was selected by the Western Bulldogs with their pick number 35. He played 11 games in his second season at VU Whitten Oval where the 24-year-old averaged 15.4 disposals and six marks per game, before a foot injury ended his season in Round 12.

Marcus has exceptional speed and power for his size, shows great courage in the air and is a long kick which allowed him to immediately adapt to AFL football.

Unfortunately injuries hampered Adams next few years before requesting a trade to Brisbane following the 2018 season. Adams has had a restricted pre-season but is expected to return early in the year to bolster the exciting Lions defence.
