Luke Valente was drafted to the Fremantle Football Club with pick 32 in the 2018 National Draft. Valente is a classy midfielder with clean hands and the ability to hit targets off both sides of the body.
A natural leader, Valente was captain of the South Australian Under 18 side and dominated the championships, averaging 28 disposals, seven clearances and a goal over the four games. He was named Vice-Captain of the Under 18 All-Australian side and South Australia’s MVP.
After finishing off his draft year with injuries, Valente has had a slow start to his time in the AFL but will be eager to pick up some form in the WAFL and become a key contributor to the Dockers.
