Bio

Hailing from the small town of Penong on the Nullarbor Plain, Chandler spent his junior years representing his home side, the Western United Tigers.

Living over 600km’s from Adelaide, Chandler made the move to Adelaide for his senior years of school, boarding at Prince Alfred College.

A small forward, Chandler played for Norwood in the SANFL Under 18 Competition and represented South Australia at the National Championships. He was selected by Melbourne with the 15th pick in the 2019 Rookie Draft.

Chandler’s first season in the AFL was a steep learning curve as he trained shoulder to shoulder with some of the games elite players.

Showing a constant desire to learn and get better, Chandler was rewarded with his debut in Round 22 of 2019, playing at the MCG. His defensive pressure and work rate was evident as he registered 9 tackles.
