Jarrod Berry was selected by the Brisbane Lions with the 17th pick in the NAB AFL Draft in 2016. The big bodied midfielder excelled in in the under 18 system for the North Ballarat Rebels and has continued that form into the start of his AFL career.
Jarrod made his debut in Rd 3, 2017 and went on to play 16 games that season before a foot injury saw him miss the final few games. A strong pre-season set a platform for 2018 which saw more improvement from Berry who played 21 games averaging 18.5 disposals and 4.5 tackles per game.
His ferocious attack on the ball and team first attitude resulted in Berry being elected into the Brisbane Lions leadership group for season 2019. Berry is now joined by his younger brother Tom who was drafted to the club in the 2018 draft.
