Brayden was recruited by the Collingwood Football Club in the 2015 NAB AFL Draft with pick 32. Sadly Brayden has been plagued with injury and as a result, has played in only 18 VFL games over the 2016 and 2017 season. Despite his lack of time playing, Collingwood has extended Sier’s time at the club until the end of the 2018 season, a credit to his professionalism and his future prospects.
The illustrious midfielder, who dominates the contest with his large frame, has shown great efforts in the VFL, including his 24 disposals against premiers, Port Melbourne, in the closing game of 2017 VFL season. Despite Sier’s destination at Collingwood, his journey to the AFL was somewhat unconventional as he played the majority of his football with his school (Marcellin College) and local club (Northem), with only two TAC CUP appearances. Hoping to stay clear of injury, Sier’s will look to make his senior debut in the 2018 season.
