Brandon Starcevich is a powerful midfielder/forward who impressed many recruiters with his outstanding testing at the WA State combine. Starcevich blitzed the 20-metre sprint for the quickest time (2.87 seconds) and took out the second highest running vertical jump (91 centimetres). The young player’s agility tests result also impressed, completing the test in 8.08 seconds to finished with the third quickest time.
Brisbane Lions recruited Brandon with pick 18 in the 2018 NAB AFL draft.
The East Perth product can play in a variety of roles and is considered a contested-ball beast who works hard in the forward line and throws his body around to make marks.
These qualities paved the way for Starcevich to make his AFL Debut against the Kangaroos in round 20 of the 2018 season.
His performances and attitude off the field has impressed those at the Lions, where he has extended his contract until the end of 2021.
