Scott McLaughlin races to another Superloop Adelaide 500 victory

TLA Supercars driver Scott McLaughlin has claimed his second consecutive Superloop Adelaide 500 title with victory in Race 2 at the 2020 event.

As the 2019 event winner, McLaughlin rose from seventh to second in the Saturday race before capitalising on an unfortunate fuel-miscalculation from Shane van Gisbergen to win the second legon the Sunday.

Finishing in second place behind Jamie Whincup in Race 1, the overall weekend results ensured McLaughlin left Adelaide with the Championship lead as he aims for back-to-back-to-back Virgin Australia Supercars Championship titles.

TLA’s PR team was at the event once again, executing the media and communications campaign, and media operations for Australia’s biggest domestic motorsport event.

The culmination of over six months of campaign planning and activity, some of the key PR highlights during event week included:

  • Managing the event communications surrounding the Holden closure announcement
  • Engaging our first ever event ambassador (and TLA talent), Abbey Holmes, to spruik the off-track offerings to our non-motorsport fans
  • Executing a Weekend Today Show interview with (another TLA talent) Mark Skaife
  • Positive cross-promotion with Adelaide Fringe acts

TLA thanks Events SA (South Australian Tourism Commission), Supercars and all those involved in another fantastic event as we look forward to the upcoming season.
