Mookie Betts and Dustin Pedroia among top 20 selling MLB jerseys
The end of the baseball season means many things: playoffs, fall weather, and sales figures. Not just for tickets but also for jerseys. You know, the item that brings fans and players together in the clothing they wear at the ballpark. Jersey sales can lets us know how famous a player is, how amazing their play, and how much appeal they have to fans of their own team and baseball in general.
Aaron Judge, just as he did on the home run leaderboard, topped the list above of young Chicago Cubs stars Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo. Best pitcher on the planet Clayton Kershaw took home fourth place while Mike “I can’t believe how good he is” Trout finished in eighth.
The Red Sox were represented by just two players: Mookie Betts (12th) and Dustin Pedroia(17th). Pedroia is the veteran face of the team now that Big Papi has moved into retirement and Betts is the new blood, occupying a bigger place with each passing game.
The Sox own rookie sensation, Andrew Benintendi, did not finish among the top 20, although after his 20/20 season you can imagine him joining the games’ stars in future years.
