The Mardy Fish Children’s Foundation, an official USTA Florida Member Organization in Vero Beach, announced its fall grant cycle resulting in more than $28,000 to local agencies, programs and Kids on Courts Scholarships.

Among the seven organizations and programs receiving funds were the Boys and Girls Club Of Indian River County and the Dasie Bridgewater Hope Center. The Boys and Girls Club’s athletic program with the funding will enhance their core area of sports and recreation as well as health and life skills by providing additional opportunities to participate in team sports. Dasie Hope Center will also be receiving Kids in Motion grant support and funds to support the after-school center’s Kids Cafe programing, providing hot meals to over 75 children five days a week.

“We are honored to partner with and support these local organizations providing critical services to our area youth,” said the foundation’s Tom Fish. “We are also grateful to the donors whose generosity makes these grants possible.”

Four Indian River County Elementary schools also received funding, part of 1,688 children that will be participating in the seven programs being funded by the foundation. The Kids in Motion program is authorized by the Indian River County School Board and is intended to help elementary schools and community-based organizations to initiate, expand, or enhance their physical education, nutrition, or enrichment programs.
