Eugenie Bouchard was too busy winning a match during the eclipse to actually watch it

Via espnW

While many of us watched, or attempted to watch the eclipse on Monday, most of us likely can’t say we were playing tennis during it.

But most of us aren’t Eugenie Bouchard. (I mean, duh, right?)

The 23-year old Canadian was playing her opening round match of the Connecticut Open against Lauren Davis during the once-in-a-lifetime event. While New Haven was not in the line of totality, she did say she felt the air cool and saw the skies darken. She ultimately won, 6-1, 6-3, and talked about it during her postmatch interview.

Who needs to watch an eclipse when you can win a tennis match during it, right?
