TLA was again responsible for the organisation of the event operations and logistics. This included coordinating the builds of the kicking platform, back of house facilities and all branding elements. This provided FOX FOOTY with a branded setting suitable to host the live format of the program.
In addition to the event aspects, TLA was also for the selection and acquisition of desirable AFL talent to part take in the competition.
Once again the Longest Kick proved to be a massive success, with crowd numbers matching that of the 2015 event despite unfavourable weather conditions. Further success was also achieved through significant increases in ratings for the live telecast. The popularity of the event was further exemplified by highlights featuring across a number of news headlines on competing networks.
