Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour

CWC trophy tour around Australia.

In the lead up to the biggest Sporting event on Australian shores since the 2000 Olympic games, The Cricket World Cup engaged TLA to run a three month pre-promotional trophy tour around the country.

In total a custom built double decker bus covered more than 16,000 kilometers, visiting every state in Australia along the way. With a strong focus on remote communities, local cricket clubs and schools, TLA visited 42 different locations over this three month period.

The biggest attraction of the trophy tour was having the ICC Cricket World Cup perpetual trophy on board, where more than 50,000 people were able to have their photo taken with the trophy.

TLA’s role in bringing the trophy tour to life included:

  • Developing  the trophy tour route in consultation with key stakeholders
  • Liaising with local councils, state governments and tourism authorities to finalise and obtain permits
  • Event managing each stop including bump in and bump out of inflatable cricket nets, LED screens and signage
