Bucs’ Jameis Winston joins NFL’s 300/3/0 QB club

Sunday’s win against the Giants was a huge one for Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston, who threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns without any interceptions.
It’s the first time in his 35 NFL games that he’s topped 300 yards, had at least three TD passes and hasn’t thrown an interception. Pulling off all three isn’t easy — the Bucs and Winston still have games this season against the three active quarterbacks with the most such games: Saints QB Drew Brees has 32, Patriots QB Tom Brady, who plays the Bucs on Thursday, has 28, and Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has 23.
As you might imagine, a 300/3/0 game is a safe bet to win — Brees is 28-4 in such games, Brady is 28-0 and Rodgers 20-3. Winston beat the Giants’ Eli Manning (who ranks 10th among active QBs, with 5 such games) on Sunday, and still must face three others with at least five such games — the Lions’ Matt Stafford (6), the Cardinals’ Carson Palmer (5) and the Falcons’ Matt Ryan (5).
Going 300/3/0 is hard enough that some quarterbacks who have played much longer than Winston have only one or two — Andy Dalton and Alex Smith have only two, and Cam Newton and Ryan Tannehill have one each.
Winston is also now tied for the Bucs’ career lead in 300/3/0 games — Steve DeBerg, Craig Erickson, Brad Johnson and Josh Freeman each also share the record with one each.
